Beacon 5.74

Hello Everyone,

Thank you to everyone playing No Man’s Sky – Beacon, especially those taking the time to report any issues they encounter via Zendesk or console crash reporting.

We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 5.74, which is now live on Steam, and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause low resolution textures on base parts on PC.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause owned Settlements to not appear on another platform when using Cross-Save.
  • Fixed an issue with audio dropping out when using headphones on Switch 2.
  • Fixed a Switch specific issue where Freighter base rooms would not render correctly.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Sentinel Multi-Tools to not appear at Harmonic Camps.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur during multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause parts of NPCs to go invisible when interacting with them on Nintendo Switch.

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the settlement tutorial from progressing correctly when multiple settlements were owned in the same solar system.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented settlers from celebrating with fireworks after successfully defending against a settlement attack.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Trace of Metal mission from progressing correctly when multiple settlements were owned in the same solar system.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a "Nothing Found" message to appear if more than one owned settlement was in the tutorial stage.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Sentinel quads to idle instead of attack when spawned at a settlement.
  • Fixed a rare issue which could cause terminals at settlement buildings to be labelled incorrectly.
  • Fixed a rare issue with settlement generation on PS5.

  • Implemented a recovery for players who had travelled a very long distance from the first purple system generated during In Stellar Multitudes, and had no nearby teleporter destinations to return to.
  • Fixed an issue that caused mission markers requiring a target sweep to hide themselves prematurely.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Horrific Flesh-Helmet's eyeball to render incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some base parts placed prior to the Beacon update to be incorrectly assigned a weathered material.

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the player to jetpack slightly when closing the build menu on Switch.
  • Fixed some clipped text in the refiner UI on Switch 2.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause marker icons to be placed incorrectly on Switch 2.
  • Fixed an issue which could cause flickering planetary objects on AMD and Intel GPUs.
  • Update to Streamline version 2.8
