Beacon 5.73

Hello Everyone,

Thank you to everyone playing No Man’s Sky – Beacon, especially those taking the time to report any issues they encounter via Zendesk or console crash reporting.

We are listening closely to your feedback, and have identified and resolved a number of issues. These fixes are included in patch 5.73, which is now live on Steam, and will be coming to other platforms as soon as possible.

 

Bug Fixes

  • Added Starship Fabricator utility to S-class landing pads at settlements.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause interactions with Autophage settlement visitors to influence the player's standing with other alien races.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could cause an unowned settlement to display missing information in its overview page.
  • Added an option for settlement tower buildings to sweep for distress signal coordinates.
  • Fixed a number of issues which could cause some settlement data to initialise incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the settlement marker from appearing if a mission corresponding to a different settlement was selected in the Mission Log.
  • Settlement terminals now show the name and class of their associated building when viewed through the Analysis Visor.
  • Fixed the collision of the central monument at Autophage settlements.
  • Fixed an issue that caused internal roof sections of settlement buildings to display the wrong trim.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented settlement decisions from awarding their full happiness values.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause downloaded settlement data to interfere with local settlement data. Affected settlements will have their correct values restored on load.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause settler NPCs to fail to spawn when first visiting a settlement.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Sentinels to fail to appear at Autophage settlements during an attack.
  • Fixed an issue which required Overseers of Autophage settlements to scan more than once to reveal their cloaked settlers.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause settlements to linger in the Settlements Register after retiring as Overseer.
  • Fixed an issue that caused adding / removing citizens to / from settlements to alter the maximum population instead of the current population.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the settlement management mission to display multiple active objectives in the Mission Log.
  • Fixed an issue preventing settlement towers from correctly recharging their utilities.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause medium dwellings in settlements to generate without a terminal.
  • Improved the UI for settlement tower utilities.
  • Updated a number of NPC animations in settlement management decisions to be more appropriate to the outcome.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented settlement decisions from awarding the correct production or maintenance values.
  • Fixed an issue preventing settlement factories from correctly refreshing their available Multi-Tool.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed settlements to draw Sentinel attention during the tutorial phases.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented visitors to settlements from correctly rewarding their gifts.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented internal roof sections of Autophage settlement buildings from rendering at a distance.

  • Fixed an issue in some older save games that limited the Exo-Skiff to 10 cold storage slots.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Looping Grass base decoration from being placed.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Vile Spawn from dropping Wormskin Folios 2-5 and the Writhing Manuscript.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the squadron pilot UI to close incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a large number of HUD markers to disappear in some circumstances, including if the system clock was altered.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented summoning ships with broken launcher technology when Crafting was set to Free in the Difficulty Settings.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the mission A Trace of Metal from starting.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could prevent Specialist Polo from offering a blueprint for the Reality Anchor during In Stellar Multitudes.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent the Collected Knowledge page for In Stellar Multitudes from populating.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could allow the first purple system generated during In Stellar Multitudes to exist beyond the boundaries of the universe.
  • Fixed an issue in The Space Anomaly which prevented Priest Entity Nada's dialogue from being registered as complete, blocking mission progress.
  • Fixed a rare issue in Ghosts in the Machine which caused the marker to the Korvax facility to be lost when playing in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the "Collect Planetary Data" multiplayer mission to fail to progress after locating all three planetary hotspots.
  • Fixed a rare issue that could prevent the Current Mission path from rendering on the Galaxy Map, and cause the "Mission Target in Another Galaxy" message to appear erroneously.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Signal Booster from functioning correctly when playing the "Collect Planetary Data" mission in Abandoned Mode.

  • Fixed an issue which could cause sections of Autophage settlements, and certain base parts, to appear partly invisible on Xbox.
  •  

  • Fixed a number of UI overlap and clipping issues on Switch.
  • Fixed an issue on Switch 2 that prevented screenshots from being taken using a base computer.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the warp tunnel to render at a low resolution on Switch 2.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the player's torch to render an incorrect texture on Switch 2.

  • Fixed a rare crash when warping out of a system containing an owned settlement.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when browsing the Wonders page in the Catalogue.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur when fighting Sentinel drones.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could occur on modded saves.
  •  

  • When loading a mod in exml format, erase array elements tagged with "_remove" in reverse order, to avoid indices moving.
